Kikyo died on the same day she sealed Inu-yasha and Kagome is a reincarnation of Kikyo. "Shikon-no-tama" started being aimed by demons and it was shattered (by Kagome aciddently). So Inu-yasha and Kagome begin their adventure to look for all pieces of this miracle ball. They soon are join by Myouga, Shippou, Miroku, and Sango. They repel each other, but soon becomes friends*...

;)Characters(;

Inu Yasha

Inu yasha is a hanyou (half-demon) that is the main character (duh, who would have guess). His father was a demon of the Western Lands and his mother was a human. On the outside, he can seem to be selfish, violent, and short-tempered, but as the series progresses he is shown to be more kind-hearted. He was a loner but as we get closer to the climax he travels with his many companions. He wishes to use the Shikon no Tama's power to make himself a youkai (full-demon). One of his main weapon is the demon blade Tetsusaiga, which was found in his father's grave hidden in Inuyasha's right eye. Fifty years ago he was put into an enchanted sleep by a sealing arrow from Kikyo. Inu-yasha is brought out of his fifty year sleep by Kagome, a teenager from the future. Although it appears at first that Inu-yasha hated Kikyo and so hated Kagome but we find out it isn't entirely true (when it comes between Kikyou and Kagome, Inu-yasha has an internal conflict about who he cares about and loves. Sometimes he thinks it's Kikyo, while sometimes it is Kagome. Usually, when it comes to protecting one over the other he chooses Kagome, but often sneaks off to be with Kikyou).

Kagome

Kagome , a high schooler, lives in the Higurashi Shrine, with her Grandpa, Mother and little brother, Souta. In her home, there is the "Bone-eaters well", which is the gate to Inu-yasha's world. One day a demon monster grabs her, and pulls her inside the well. She manages to get away, and sees Inu-yasha for the first time, attached to the God's Tree, in an enchanted sleep, Inu Yahsa's Wood. Later she frees him to save the town from another demon. Herioc as he is he later demands the Shikon no Tama and attacks her. She has to put a binding spell on him to make him stop and calls out the words "SIT!" in order to activate it. Kagome and Inu-yasha have to look for the shards of the Shikon no Tama after Kagome accidentally hits it with an arrow and splits it into tiny pieces. Kagome uses a bow and arrow to fight against demons, like Kikyo because she is the reincarnation. Kagome often goes back and forth between her world and Inu Yasha's. This excuses for her missing apperance was made up by Kagome's grandpa. At first Kagome says that she doesn't like Inu-yasha, but after some time her feelings change.

Shippou

Shippou is a young fox-demon, who parents died becuase of the Thunder Brother. Shippou thinks of Kagome as surrogate mother...and sometimes that Inu-yasha is is surrogate father. He misses Kagome terribly when she goes home and is always trying to convince Inu-yasha to bring her back. Although weak he is also very clever for his age.Shippou uses a variety of toys and tricks for his attacks. However, his tricks and toys do help Inu-yasha sometimes in a battle. Shippou's favorite attack is fox fire.Het can change into different objects. He also cheers his companion up in times of affliction.

Miroku

Miroku is a traveling monk. Miroku is actually a pretty nice guy. He sticks up for his friends and is there when they need him the most. He has a habit of asking women to bear his child. He also has a sixth sense that tells him when evil is near by. If he uses the black hole in his right hand, he can "suck" monsters and other things into his hand, disappearing forever. But, if Miroku uses it too often, it'll grow wider, and one day it'll kill him by sucking himself into the black hole. In order to keep his hand under control he uses one of his bead charms to keep it sealed. Sometimes Miroku uses his staff to fight when he isn't able to use the vortex in his hand. He can also do other "monk duties" like writing seals and warding off evil. Because of a curse put on Miroku's family, the vortex in his hand passes from generation to generation. Miroku's grandfather was the first to be cursed with the vortex and his father had it before him. Both of them were eventually sucked into the black holes that their hands contained. The curse was put onto his family by Naraku and will be lifted when he finds Naraku and kills him. This is why up joining in Kagome's and Inu-yasha's quest.

Sango

Sango is the daughter of the leader of the Demon Exterminators. Her father, younger brother and comrades of her village were killed by Naraku, At first Sango did not like Inu-yasha because Naraku tricked her and told her that he was the one responsible for the death of her family and townfolks. Naraku gives her a piece of the Shikon no Tama and she tries to kill Inu-yasha, but fails. Instead she starts to trust Inu-Yasha and his group. She also tells them the legend of the Shikon no Tama and how it was created. She rhen finds out that it was Naraku's fault that her family and comrades are deadm, so she joins in the quest to find the Shikon no Tama and to get her revenge.Sango is a very skilled warrior and uses a giant boomerang. The boomerang's name is also the name of her attack, Hiraikotsu.Though it doesn't seem very apparent in the anime or manga, I believe that her and Miroku harbor some secret feelings for each other, basically because she gets jealous of other girls he flirts with and he never really treats her the way he does with other women.

Kikyo

An extremey powerful priestess. Kikyo was the gaurdian of the jewel of four souls. She defended the jewels from many demons. She is charming and beautiful. Naraku also wanted the jewel and killed Kikyo. Kikyo thought it was Inuyasha who betrayed her and now tries to kill Inuyasha for the betrayal. Her weapons are a Bow & Arrow and miko power. She was in love with Inuyasha, but ends up roaming around as a zombie type person who only wants to kill him. As she came back to the series she became somewhat evil and forms a hatred over Kagome Higurashi,

Myouga is a flea demon. He usually appears when there's no danger or the danger has passed. Usually he makes his appearances through being smashed after drinking some of Inuyasha's blood. Though he's somewhat cowardly, he has plenty of advice for Inuyasha and is quick to help when someone is poisoned by sucking the poison out of their blood stream.

Kaede

A very old miko who often gives good advice to Inuyasha and Kagome in their search for the Shikon Shards. Kaede is also the one responsible for putting the magical rosary around Inuyasha's neck binding him to Kagome. Kaede is Kikyo's younger sister. She was very small when she was ordered acquire Kikyo's remains with the Shikon no Tama, some 50 years ago. Now, Kaede is a haggard, old lady with an eye-patch. She protects her village and acts as its head, both in combat and wisdom.Kaede met Inuyasha and Kagome early in the series. Because of her old age, she does not usually travel with them, though she often provides guidance in what they are to do. When she was little, she helped Kikyou taking care of Onigumo in the cave. She saw the evil in him and told her sister about it. Kikyo told her not to worry about it because Onigumo will never be able to walk again. 50 years later, when Kagome showed up, she was the first to realize that Kagome is Kikyo's reincarnation. She then got Kagome and Inuyasha to work together to find the jewel shards after it was broken. After Kikyou was brought back to life, Kaede wants her sister to let go of her anger and return the underworld and be at peace. Kikyo came to her to know about Naraku and the cause of her death.

Souta

He is Kagome's little brother, though he can be annoying sometimes her trys to help outlike with finding out if she's behind in any of her classes while she is out in the fuedal era) and worries and cares about her, too. He also has a girlfriend named Hitomi, whom Inuyasha and Kagome "tired" to get Souta with, but eventually, Souta took care of that himself. He also looks up to Inuyasha.

Rin

Rin is a talktive little girl that follows Sesshoumaru everywhere and she annoys Jaken. Sesshoumaru saved her life. She was orphaned at a young age and forced to survive on her own. On top of that she stopped speaking until she started traveling Sesshoumaru. One day she happened upon a wounded Sesshoumaru in the forest and attempted to help him by giving him food at such. A short time later Kouga's wolf pack attacked her village in pursuit of a man with a shard of the shikon jewel. Once Kouga got the jewel shard he killed the man and then allowed his wolves to eat the villagers. In attempts to escape, Rin ran into the forest most probably going to where she found Sesshoumaru in order to get protection. Unfortunately, the wolves caught up with her and killed her. Sesshoumaru and Jaken found her in the forest and Sesshoumaru decided to bring her back to life with Tokijin. Rin has followed him ever since.

Kohaku

Kohaku is Sango's younger brother. Kohaku and the rest of his village was called to a castle to exterminate a Spider Demon. Naraku took over Kohaku's mind and killed his father. He is now Naraku's unwiling slave. Sango has promised to save him.

Kouga

The leader of a Wolf tribe (and Inuyasha's rival for Kagome's affections) , who likes Kagome and says that he'll always protect her and wants to her to be his wife.- at least in his mind. He is very self-assured and considers associating with a lowly "dog" like Inuyasha far beneath him. Despite being a bit thick sometimes, Kouga is a fierce warrior and a good leader. He has super speed due to the Shikon Jewel shards he has in his legs. Kouga was originally a bad guy. His wolves killed Rin (before Sesshoumaru restored her). Because of his love of Kagome, who is a human, he turned into a good demon, and helps InuYasha and his group in their quest for Naraku. He got accidentally engaged to Ayame, a wolf demon from the mountains, when he saved her as a child and promised her marriage to keep up her spirits. Ayame is now grown and is holding Kouga to his promise.

Sesshoumaru

Inu-yasha's Full demon half-brother Sesshomaru hates Inu, and is only out to kill him, or try to claim his sword. Inuyasha's older half brother. He is always trying to get Inuysha's sword, which can kill 100 demons in one swipe. He's a full demon, and takes care of a little girl named Rin. He also has a bug eyed lackey who serves him. He's very... into himself. Talk about an ego here... oh but he's sooo pretty!

Naraku

The one who turned Inuyasha and Kikyou against each other, and cursed Miroku. He's an all around sadistic individual, who has some issues with hatred to deal with. He has a strange fetish with wearing a monkey suit and laughing at people. Besides that, he also likes to create... um, other people out of himself. Naraku is a human turned mishmashed demon. He was once a trechrous and cut throat thief known as Onigumo. One day he got burned incredibly badly and was horribly injured. Kikyo happened upon him and began to take care of him. Onigumo still had a dark heart and it desired Kikyou. He called forth a swarm of demons and allowed them to consume him and thus Naraku was born.
